Although it has been found that the rate of teen pregnancy has been decreasing, it is still a major issue affecting our youth. Throughout my four years of highschool and even my eighth grade year I have been witnessing teen pregnancies. Yes some of these girls seem happy when announcing their pregnancy but do they know the consequeces that will affect them in the long run? It has been found that teenage girls who become pregnant are more likely not to go off to college and they also get a slow start on their career life. Moreover, teenage pregnancy leads to more birth complications and emotional stress that could be overwhelming for most teenagers.
