If society wasn’t so driven on making things more convenient this problem wouldn’t theoretically exist. People have to start thinking about things a little different like taking public transportation instead of driving your own vehicle, or walking instead of driving somewhere that is in walking distance. There also needs to be forms of clean coal energy developed such as solar power or hybrid. The reinforcement of recycling can also be a huge key as well as an alternate garbage disposal program. humans would have to come together and set aside there differences and work as one to make sure that global warming wont become a reality.
