Due to so many black men that are in jail many children are left without father figures in there lives. Statistics show that children with no male role model in there life are more likely to end up in prison than others. Since there are so many black men in jail the cycle basically continues and more and more young African Americans end up in jail and being arrested. This is something that most families go through and this is why so many young men end up dropping out of school to help provide for there family to take up the slack for there fathers. In most cases they end up doing something illegal to earn easy fast money because at the time that is what they need. This is why the amount of blacks in jail is such a big problem not only does it affect the lives of their loved ones but the entire community which they live in. Being a child without a father is hard enough but knowing how people are judging you and in most cases figure that you will end up like your father who may have made some wrong decisions in there life in order to provide for you, is a lot to handle. As a young African American male who grew up without my father I know hands own how it feels to take the role of the man at a young age, feeling like it is my responsibility to due for my family in order to become the man my father was not.
