My Name Is Ashley Nicole Willliams and for my sociology project im doing my topic on Racism . I believe one of our society's problem is Racism. Racism has been an problem in our society for some hundred years ago, and still exist today. Racism has exsisted throughout our history can be defined as the hatred of one person by an other person, or the belief that another person is less a human because of skin color,language,costums,place of birth or any factor that supposedly reveals the basic nature of that person, or members of one race or group thinks their superior to members of another race. It influenced wars,slavery and the formation of nations. Today you see racism everywhere, for example: at school, work , stores ,on T.V shows , and movies. As one teacher told me and im not going to mention her name but she said "Most White Americans hate Black Americans because we have pigment in our skin and they dont thats why they spend all t heir time tanning because they want their skin darkened but yet try hate us because we are dark and we dont have to go to a tanning spa to become dark."
