Gangs in America are a huge problem, because while gang membership is on the rise so is murder rates. In certain smaller cities and states they death rate has went up because gangs. A city like Chicago has a tremendous gang problem and it is straining police because they can’t contain non-gang affiliated crimes. Also it’s a problem because the gangs are recruiting members as young as 11 years old. Gangs and jail are taking away from our minority while their young. Also children are dying because of being killed while in a gang or cross fire between gangs. The efforts that have been made by police task forces are adding to rebellious gangs. The anti-gangs sometimes worst then regular street gangs, because they think anything means necessary when taking gangs down. Also these anti-gangs aren’t created for free it cost the Untied States $800 million tax dollars to fund them.
